Adedokun succeeds Malam Muhammad Shuaibu Umar’s post as a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering. The nomination of Engineer Ahmed Rufai Abubakar as the Bulk Metering Unit’s acting head was also accepted by the vice-chancellor.
According to a letter issued by the vice chancellor, Prof. Adedokun’s appointment as IAIICT Director becomes effective on Monday, June 16, 2025.
Additionally, the letter said that his leadership and administrative skills were acknowledged by the appointment. The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that the new IAIICT Director will elevate the institution and the university in this role while instructing him to be truthful and equitable in all his official interactions.
In a letter announcing his assignment, the vice chancellor said that his term would be six months.
The letter said that his research, enthusiasm, and academic leadership abilities were the reasons for the nomination.
