This is to notify the general public, in particular, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) personnel, students, and visitors, that certain forms of clothing are prohibited on university campuses by the administration.
At ABU Zaria, the following clothing styles are prohibited:

Reconstituted by the management, the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Dress Code has updated its rules for both employees and students. The following characteristics and components are now regarded as misbehaviour and represent appropriate and inappropriate attire as well as an unsatisfactory look in university public areas:
Wear shorts and scant clothing, such as spaghetti outfits, body hugs, show-me-your-chest outfits, and gowns that reveal intimate areas. Wearing skirts that are above the knees, tights, and shorts (apart from athletic wear).wearing jeans that are torn and have holes in them. Clothes that are see-through and transparent.wearing tight clothing that accentuates the body’s contours, such as jeans, skirts, hip stars, pattas, lakkas, etc. Undergarments, like singlets worn in public.unkempt look, with beards and bushy hair. Clothing that prevents students from actively participating in practicals or wearing lab coats during them. Sensitive areas are exposed when the wearer goes forward in long, tight skirts that are opened in the front, rear, or sides.

Third-Time Offender: To appear before the Committee for Staff Disciplinary.
