ABU SRC Provides Temporary Accommodation for Newly Admitted Students During Screening Exercise

The Ahmadu Bello University Students’ Representative Council (ABUSRC) has issued an important notice for all newly admitted students participating in the 2025/2026 screening exercise. To support students who may not have a place to stay during the process, the university has arranged temporary accommodation across selected hostels.

Accommodation Available for New Students

To make the screening period easier and more convenient, ABU has provided provisional lodging in the following hostels:

  • Male Students: Ramat Hostel
  • Female Students: Amina Hostel and Ribadu Hostel

These facilities are open strictly for new students undergoing screening who do not already have accommodation in Zaria.

Who Is Eligible?

To qualify for the temporary accommodation, students must:

  • Be physically present for the official screening exercise, and
  • Lack any existing lodging arrangement within Zaria.

This initiative ensures that students with immediate support needs can comfortably complete their screening without worrying about accommodation.

Important Guidelines for Students

The SRC outlined key instructions students must follow:

  • Allocation is strictly first-come, first-served. Students are encouraged to arrive early to secure a space.
  • The accommodation is temporary and valid only for the duration of the screening.
  • All students must conduct themselves respectfully within the hostels and comply with hostel rules.
