Honouring Ms. Jemila Abubakar – Call for Entries from Nigerian Undergraduates
The Asido Foundation (AF) is a respected not-for-profit mental health organisation dedicated to correcting the widespread ignorance around mental health in Nigeria. It actively promotes evidence-based information, advocacy, and interventions to support the mental wellness of the Nigerian population.

To honour the legacy of Ms. Jemila Abubakar, the foundation’s first Project Manager—who was known for her passion, creativity, and genuine care for humanity—the Foundation established an Annual Essay Competition. She sadly passed away in July 2020 after a brief illness, but her impact continues to inspire many young people today.
