Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Your eligibility depends mainly on academic performance, level of study, and student status.

1. Academic Performance

  • You must show strong academic performance.
  • Your Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is the primary measure.
  • Keep complete and accurate records (such as transcripts or official CGPA statements) ready to back up the CGPA you claim.

2. Level of Study and Registration Status

  • You must be an undergraduate in 200 level when you complete and submit the bursary application form.
  • You must be a bonafide, fully registered student of one of the listed universities.

Registrar’s Certification of Indigent Status

An important part of the process is proof that you genuinely need financial assistance.

For your application to be valid:

  • The Registrar of your university must certify that you are indigent.
  • This certification confirms that you require financial support to continue your studies.

Therefore, students should start early and follow their university’s normal process to obtain this confirmation before submitting their applications.
