The College of Education and Legal Studies (COELS), Nguru, Yobe State, has announced the commencement of sales of application forms for the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) for January 2026.
The notice, issued through the Office of the Registrar, confirms that the College will conduct the exam in collaboration with TRCN to strengthen professionalism and competence within the teaching workforce.
The PQE serves as a key requirement for teacher registration and licensing in Nigeria. It also supports continuing professional development, reinforces discipline, and enhances teaching standards across Yobe State and the nation.
Eligibility Categories and Registration Fees
Prospective candidates must register under the appropriate qualification category:
- Ph.D Holders – ₦10,500
- Master’s Degree Holders – ₦8,500
- PGDE Holders – ₦6,500
- PDE Holders – ₦6,500
- Bachelor’s Degree Holders – ₦6,500
- NCE Holders – ₦5,500
- NCE II Students – ₦5,500
