Students from the nine Delta North local government areas have been given full four-year scholarships by Senator (Prince) Ned Munir Nwoko to attend the Sports University of Nigeria in Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta State, to pursue degree programs.
During a briefing on the university campus, Senator Nwoko announced the scholarship program. According to the institution’s distinctive philosophy of fusing formal education with physical development, the program aims to support academically inclined young people with athletic abilities.

A LIFELINE FOR CHILDREN
In its first phase, the scholarship program is anticipated to help hundreds of students by providing them with the chance to study for free in a setting that is geared toward both academic and personal growth. The project, according to Senator Nwoko, is a long-term investment in Delta North’s and Nigeria’s overall future.
“A generation of academics who are also sports ambassadors is being raised by us. In the classroom and on the pitch, this is how we get young Nigerians ready for global significance’, he remarked.
In the next academic year, the first group of scholarship recipients is expected to return.
