In January 2025, Islamabad hosted a landmark international summit on girls’ education in Muslim communities, organized by the Muslim World League (MWL) in collaboration with Pakistan’s Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.

The two-day conference, titled “Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities: Challenges and Opportunities,” brought together over 150 delegates from 44 countries, including ministers, ambassadors, religious scholars, and representatives from global organizations such as UNESCO, UNICEF, and the World Bank.

She highlighted the urgent need for Muslim leaders to oppose the Taliban’s ban on teenage girls attending school and women attending universities.
