The Gombe State Government, through the Scholarship Board, has begun preparations for a Physical Verification Exercise for all beneficiaries of the state scholarship scheme.

In a statement signed by Shuaibu Gidado, Director/Executive Secretary of the board, the exercise was approved by His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Dan Majen Gombe). According to the board, the goal is to ensure proper documentation and confirm the eligibility of all beneficiaries.
Date and Schedule
- The verification exercise will start on Monday, 20th October 2025.
- Because of the ongoing ASUU strike, the process will run in two phases:
- Students currently at home must report directly to the Gombe State Scholarship Board.
- University students should wait for the screening team to visit their institutions once the strike ends.
- The exercise will hold daily, including Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Scholarship Board office.

Required Documents
All concerned students must appear in person with the following original documents:
- Scholarship printout
- Admission letter
- Latest school fees receipt
- Local government indigene certificate
- Valid school identity card
Additional Information
Students are strongly advised to arrive on time and follow all verification procedures carefully. Furthermore, all GOSSA Local Chapters should liaise directly with the GOSSA National Secretariat for proper coordination and clarification.
