The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has withdrawn five Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres from participating in the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The decision came after the centres failed to comply with the necessary technical requirements for the smooth conduct of the exams.

The following CBT centres have been removed from the 2025 UTME:

  • Adventure Associate, located behind Sheshe Supermarket, Off Hadejia Road, Kano, Kano State

  • Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1 and Centre 2, both situated at 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal
  • Soronara Ventured Nigeria Limited, Foundation Road, Umudagu Mbieri, Mbaitoli, Imo State

📄 What Affected Candidates Must Do

Candidates who selected any of the centres above must reprint their exam slips to get updated details of their new test venue and rescheduled exam date. JAMB has emphasized that failure to do so will not be accepted as a valid excuse for missing the exam.

As of April 25, 2025:

  • Over 900,000 candidates had successfully taken their exams.
  • A total of 2,083,600 candidates registered for the 2025 UTME nationwide.

There was an incident at Caleb University involving candidates wearing hijabs who were reportedly denied entry into the exam venue. Investigations revealed that the decision was made by a security officer acting without official directive.

  • The university’s Vice-Chancellor condemned the action.
  • JAMB responded swiftly, and the situation was resolved immediately.
  • All affected candidates were allowed to write their exams.
  • JAMB issued a formal apology and commended the university leadership for addressing the issue promptly.
