Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has officially released the programme of events for its 13th Convocation Ceremony. The celebration will run from Tuesday, December 9 to Saturday, December 13, 2025, and will feature a rich blend of academic activities, exhibitions, sports, lectures, awards, and the final conferment of degrees. The announcement was made by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, on behalf of the Council, Senate, and Congregation.

Programme Highlights
The week-long convocation includes press briefings, exhibitions, sports events, a convocation lecture, stage performances, and the main awarding of degrees.

Vice-Chancellor’s Press Briefing
- Venue: Muhammadu Buhari Main Library
- Time: 11:00 a.m.

KWASU has issued detailed instructions to make the process smooth for all graduands.

All prospective graduands for the 2025/2026 academic session must confirm that their names appear on the official graduating list at:

Each graduand is allowed to invite one guest.
Convocation Charges
Graduands are required to pay the following fees:
Undergraduate Students — ₦35,000
This covers:
- Academic gown hire
- Certificate scroll
- Alumni dues
- Certificate
Postgraduate Students — ₦60,000
This also includes:
- Gown hire
- Certificate scroll
- Alumni dues
- Certificate
Certificate scrolls will be issued shortly after the ceremony once students present proof of payment and their clearance certificate.
Academic Procession Rehearsal
- Date: Friday, December 12, 2025
- Time: 2:30 p.m.
- Venue: Ultra-Modern Performing Arts Building
Attendance is compulsory for all graduands participating in the convocation ceremony.
Required Dress Code
Graduands must dress formally in:
For Men:
- Suit, shirt, and tie
For Women: - Skirt suit, blouse and skirt, or a formal gown
OR - Full national attire
No graduand without an academic gown will be allowed into the convocation arena.
Convocation Day
- Date: Saturday, December 13, 2025
- Arrival Time: 7:00 a.m.
- Procession Starts: 8:00 a.m. at the Entrepreneur Building
Latecomers will not be granted entry.
Gown Return and Penalties
- Gowns must be returned no later than Friday, December 19, 2025.
- A penalty of ₦500 per day applies for late returns.
