Prof. Oluwafemi, a respected academic and the former head of the Department of Microbiology at FUNAAB’s College of Biosciences (COLBIOS) is well-known for her administrative prowess and intellectual achievements.
She was the Pioneer Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at NMU before her most recent position, where she was instrumental in establishing the academic framework and a strong basis for excellence at the university.
As the Founding Vice-President of the Nigerian Mycotoxin Study Group and a graduate of Israel’s esteemed Galilee International Management Institute, Prof. Flora’s commitment to study and scientific progress, especially in the areas of public health and food safety, is evident.
The selection of Prof. Oluwafemi, who hails from Oporoza in the Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West LGA of Delta State, is a source of pride for the whole FUNAAB family as well as her personal community.
The appointment of Prof. Oluwafemi is simply another example of FUNAAB’s history of producing outstanding leaders and innovators in Nigeria’s higher education system.
