NYSC 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course | Full Schedule, Guidelines, and Requirements

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released the timetable for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course. This is one of the most crucial stages in the NYSC journey, as it introduces prospective corps members (PCMs) to the one-year compulsory national service, a program designed to foster unity, discipline, and national integration among Nigerian graduates.

The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General O.O. Nafiu, has also wished all PCMs and camp officials journey mercies as they head to their assigned orientation camps nationwide.

NYSC Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course 2025: Key Dates

  • Commencement/Registration: Wednesday, September 24, 2025
  • Cut-off date for Registration: Midnight, Friday, September 26, 2025
  • Swearing-In Ceremony: Friday, September 26, 2025
  • Closing Ceremony: Tuesday, October 14, 2025

All Prospective Corps Members must report to their designated camps as indicated on their Call-Up Letters.

Requirements for NYSC Orientation Registration

Every PCM must present the following at the registration point:

  1. Original Call-Up Letter (either the one issued by your institution or reprinted online).
  2. Original Statement of Result or Degree Certificate signed and stamped by your institution.
  3. Valid School Identity Card.
  4. Foreign-trained graduates must bring their International Passport (with visas used to study abroad) and the original copies of all uploaded documents.
  5. Professionals in health-related fields (Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Medical Lab Scientists, Optometrists, etc.) must present evidence of registration with their Professional Regulatory Bodies.
  6. Certificate of Fitness from a Government or Military Hospital. It must bear the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) stamp and clearly state the PCM’s health status.
  7. National Diploma (ND) Certificate for Polytechnics and Monotechnics graduates, in addition to the above documents.

The NYSC strongly warns against fake documents and absenteeism:

  • Anyone who presents forged documents will be arrested and prosecuted under Section 13 of the NYSC Act, Cap. N84, LFN 2004.
  • Any PCM who fails to report for service as stated in the Call-Up Letter risks prosecution and being barred from future mobilization.
  • Those who already possess a Certificate of National Service or Certificate of Exemption but attempt to serve again will also face prosecution.

If you lose your Call-Up Letter, you must obtain a Police Report and Sworn Affidavit.

  • If you collected it from your institution → Report to your school for re-issuance.
  • If you printed it online → Simply reprint from the NYSC portal.

Travel & Security Advisory

The NYSC has highlighted important safety measures for all PCMs:

  • Do not travel at night. Once it is past 6:00 PM, suspend your journey and sleep at a police station, military barracks, Corps Lodge, or NYSC Secretariat.
  • Use only government-approved motor parks. Avoid boarding vehicles by the roadside.
  • Read your Call-Up Letter carefully as it contains camp-specific rules and instructions.
  • Parents and guardians should caution their children/wards against unsafe travel practices.

Special Provision for Married, Pregnant & Nursing Mothers

Married, pregnant, or nursing mothers posted outside their husbands’ states of residence may register in the orientation camp nearest to their spouse’s domicile.

They must provide the following documents:

  • Marriage Certificate
  • Valid ID of husband (passport, driver’s license, or national ID)
  • Proof of husband’s place of residence
