NYSC Announces Schedule for 2025 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Orientation Course

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released the timetable for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Orientation Course.
The nationwide programme will begin on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, and run through Tuesday, 9 December 2025 across all NYSC orientation camps in Nigeria.

Key Dates

  • Commencement / Registration: Wednesday 19 – Friday 21 November 2025 (registration closes at midnight on 21 November)
  • Swearing-In Ceremony: Friday 21 November 2025
  • Closing Ceremony: Tuesday 9 December 2025

The Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wished all prospective corps members (PCMs) safe travel and urged them not to embark on night journeys.

Purpose of the Orientation Course

The NYSC orientation course introduces graduates to the ideals of national service. It encourages cultural integration, teamwork, and personal discipline while preparing participants for their one-year service period.

Travel and Safety Guidelines

Prospective corps members should:

  • Travel only through government-approved motor parks and registered transport companies.
  • Avoid night journeys. If travel extends past 6 p.m., they should rest overnight at military barracks, police stations, NYSC Secretariats, or Corps Lodges nearby.
  • Read their Call-up Letters carefully for camp information and security instructions.

Parents and guardians are advised to remind their wards to remain alert and avoid boarding roadside vehicles.

Registration Requirements

Corps members must present the following at the orientation camp:

  1. Original Call-up Letter (printed online or issued by institution).
  2. Statement of Result or Certificate signed by an authorized officer.
  3. School ID Card.
  4. International Passport and original uploaded documents (for foreign-trained graduates).
  5. Professional registration evidence for medical and health-related graduates.
  6. Certificate of Fitness from a government or military hospital, stamped by the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).
  7. National Diploma (ND) certificate (for Mono-/Polytechnic graduates).

Any PCM caught presenting fake documents will face immediate prosecution.

Special Provisions for Married, Pregnant, or Nursing Mothers

Those posted outside their husbands’ states may register at orientation camps within their spouses’ states of residence.
They must provide:

  • Proof of marriage,
  • Valid identification of their husbands (e.g., passport data page or national ID), and
  • Evidence of their husbands’ residential address.

Handling Lost Call-Up Letters

If a Call-up Letter is lost:

  • Obtain a Police Report and a Sworn Affidavit.
  • Graduates who collected letters from their institutions should return there for re-issuance.
  • Those who printed online may simply re-print the document.

Anyone who refuses to report for service, or who presents false information to join the scheme, will be prosecuted under Section 13 of the NYSC Act (Cap N84, LFN 2004).

Orientation Camp Addresses

NYSC has confirmed that orientation camps in all 37 locations—including the FCT Kubwa Camp and state sites in Abia, Kaduna, Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, and others—will open simultaneously on 19 November 2025.
