The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has issued a strong warning to Corps Members across the country, reminding them that night travel is strictly prohibited under the Scheme’s regulations.

During an address, the DG explained that any Corps Member who embarks on an unauthorized journey or violates the NYSC Byelaws will face disciplinary action. He stressed that safety remains a top priority and that all Corps Members must follow the rules designed to protect them.
Night Travel Ban Reemphasized
According to Brigadier General Nafiu, Corps Members must end any compulsory journey once it is 6:00 p.m. He advised them to seek a safe place to stay—such as a military barracks, police station, Corps Lodge, or other secure locations—and continue their trip the next morning.
