A pregnant National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member has gone viral after revealing how she attended her Passing Out Parade (POP) and collected her certificate while in active labour.

The emotional moment was shared in a TikTok video posted by @stephychizzy, where the young woman narrated how determination and courage pushed her to achieve two life-changing milestones on the same day.
From Hospital Bed to Parade Ground
The corps member explained that she had been admitted to the hospital after doctors confirmed she was already 4cm dilated. Despite being in labour, she refused to miss her POP.
With the help of her brother, who secretly sneaked her out of the hospital, she got dressed and made her way to the ceremony, proudly receiving her NYSC discharge certificate.
“Already 4cm dilated but I had to go get my certificate ooo. I got back from the hospital and the nurses were already looking for me, asking my husband where I went to,” she said.

Double Celebration: Certificate and Childbirth
After successfully collecting her certificate, she returned to the hospital where she later delivered a healthy baby boy.
Her husband, sister, and mother all featured in the video, visibly emotional and overjoyed. Her mother in particular celebrated her daughter’s resilience in completing her service year and safely delivering her baby.
The new mother captioned her video:
“Corper Naza. POP came with double blessings.”
Netizens React
The story has since sparked admiration and warm reactions online. Many hailed her as an epitome of determination, praising her courage for not letting labour pains stop her from marking her POP day.
For her, the date will forever be remembered as one of the most memorable double victories—the day she finished her national service and welcomed her son into the world.
