OOU Admission Guidelines for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Management of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) has released clear instructions for the 2025/2026 admission procedure. Candidates who participated in the Post-UTME screening exercise should carefully follow these steps to secure their admission.

Eligibility Criteria

• Only candidates who took part in the Post-UTME screening qualify for admission.
• Each applicant must score at least 40% in the final aggregate to gain admission into full-time programmes.

To calculate the aggregate:
Final Aggregate = ((UTME Score ÷ 400) × 60) + ((PUTME Score ÷ 100) × 40)

Admission Process Through JAMB CAPS

The University conducts all admission processes strictly on JAMB CAPS. Therefore, candidates must stay alert and:

• Log in to their JAMB CAPS portal regularly for updates.
• Upload their O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) without delay. Failure to upload means they will lose admission opportunities.
• Accept admission offers promptly. If you fail to do so, you cannot print your JAMB Admission Letter or proceed with registration.

For Candidates Transferred to Another Programme

Sometimes, the University may transfer a candidate to another programme. If that happens:

1. First, accept the Transfer Offer on JAMB CAPS.
2. Afterward, confirm and accept the admission offer.
3. Finally, complete a Change of Course within two weeks to print your JAMB Admission Letter.

Important Reminder: Never change your course before accepting the Transfer Offer. Doing so will automatically disqualify you.

Next Steps After Acceptance

Once you accept your admission on JAMB CAPS:

• Print your JAMB Admission Letter immediately.
• Then, proceed to the OOU Admission Portal and begin your registration process.
