ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
Applicants must:
- Hold a BMLS degree with at least a Third Class.
- Be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
2. Master’s Degree (MSc)
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least Second-Class Lower.
- For unclassified degrees, a minimum overall grade of C (50%).
- A PGD in the proposed field with CGPA ≥ 3.00 (5-point scale).
- FMLSCN holders may apply only to Medical Laboratory Science.
3. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Candidates must:
- Possess a Master’s degree in the proposed field with a CGPA ≥ 3.5 (5-point scale).

Step 2: You will be redirected to your dashboard to complete the full application.
Step 3: Pay the application fee and upload the proof of payment.
Step 4: After submitting the final application, print the completed Application Form and Transcript Request Form.
Step 5: Send the transcript request to your previous institution.
Applicants may log in anytime with their email and password to continue or check their application status.
ADDITIONAL NOTES FOR APPLICANTS
- Regularly check your email for updates from the University.
- Provide details of three referees, at least two of whom must be senior academic staff.
- MSc applicants must upload a one-page synopsis of their last research project.
- PhD applicants must upload a five-page research proposal following the required format.
- All transcripts must reach the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, on or before 11th January 2026.
- Soft copies may be emailed directly from the awarding institution to spgs@pums.edu.ng.
