The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi State, has issued an urgent warning to students about how and where they make school payments.
In a notice dated 12 January 2026, the SRC President, Comr. Iliyasu Umar Adamu, advised students to pay all school fees and related charges only through approved university channels. These include the university ICT unit, recognised cafés on campus, or trusted individuals personally known to the student.

According to the SRC, this warning is necessary to protect students from fraudsters and unauthorised persons who often target unsuspecting students for financial scams.
The notice reminded students to remain cautious at all times and to take personal responsibility for any payment they make. The SRC stressed that these steps are meant to protect students’ welfare and ensure their financial safety.
Students are therefore encouraged to verify every transaction and avoid shortcuts that could expose them to loss.
