Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) invites candidates who applied for admission into the University and selected it as their first choice through the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) to register for the Post-UTME aptitude test/screening via the University website: www.umyu.edu.ng.

The National Universities Commission has approved the establishment of the following 15 new programmes:

- B.Sc. Plant Science and Biotechnology
- B.Sc. Animal and Environmental Biology
- B.Sc. Medical Physics
- B.Sc. Physics with Electronics
- B.Sc. Applied Geophysics
- B.Sc. Information System
- B.Sc. Software Engineering
- B.Ed. Educational Management
- B.Ed. Guidance and Counseling
- B.A. Arabic Literary Study and Translation
- B.Sc. Food Science and Technology

Candidates interested in any of the new programmes are invited to register for the aptitude test. Those who missed the first Post-UTME screening or who wish to apply for existing programmes are also welcome.
Note: The following programmes are exempted from this batch: Agriculture, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Education & Computer Science, Environmental Management, International Relations, Law, Library and Information Science, Medicine & Surgery, and Microbiology.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the aptitude test, candidates must:
- Score the minimum cut-off marks approved for their chosen programme.
- Obtain at least five (5) relevant O’Level credits (including English and Mathematics).
- Present the correct UTME subject combination.
- Direct Entry candidates must meet the required ‘A’ Level points for their programme.
Registration & Payment
- Registration opens Saturday, 11th October 2025 and closes Friday, 17th October 2025.
- The aptitude test will hold on Saturday, 18th October 2025.
- Eligible candidates must pay N2,000 (all charges inclusive) via the payment options on the University’s website.
Documents to be uploaded include:
- 2025 JAMB UTME Result Slip or Registration Slip (for DE candidates)
- O’Level Result(s)
- Means of identification (Indigene Letter, National ID Card, International Passport, etc.)
- For DE candidates: ‘A’ Level Result (IJMB, NCE, Diploma, etc.)
Candidates awaiting results may also apply.
Important Information
- UTME candidates must come with their payment slip to the aptitude test and submit hard copies of their credentials at the venue.
- Direct Entry candidates should forward hard copies of their credentials to the Office of the Registrar after online registration.
- Candidates identified by JAMB as persons with disabilities are exempted from the Post-UTME aptitude test. However, they must forward hard copies of their credentials to the Office of the Registrar.

- Click “Register a New Account” to fill the registration form (only once).
- Make payment online.
- Log in, complete your profile, upload required documents, and print your Screening Acknowledgement Slip.
