To confirm your admission, follow these steps carefully:
- Visit the JAMB E-Facility Portal.
- Log in with your JAMB email and password.
- Scroll down and click “Check Admission Status.”
- Select “Access my CAPS.”
- Click “Admission Status” to see if you have been offered admission.

What the JAMB CAPS Messages Mean
- ADMISSION OFFERED ✅
JAMB has approved your admission. You should accept or reject the offer immediately. - ADMISSION IN PROGRESS (AIP) ⏳
UI has recommended you, and JAMB is currently processing final approval. - RECOMMENDED 📑
Your school forwarded your name, but JAMB must still verify your details. - NOT ADMITTED ❌
You are not on the current list. However, the process is ongoing, so check again later. - PENDING 🔄
Your application is still under review, and no final decision has been made.
Next Steps for Admitted Students
Once admitted, you should:
- Send ACCEPT or REJECT as an SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile.
- After accepting, print your JAMB Admission Letter. You will need it for clearance and registration at UI.
Important Tip for Phone Users 📱
Many candidates checking on their phones only see the CAPS welcome page without the admission option. To fix this problem:
- Open the Chrome browser.
- Go to Settings and select Request Desktop Site.
- Refresh the page to view the complete CAPS dashboard.
