Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has reopened its course registration portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Office of the Registrar announced this development in an internal memo dated January 12, 2026. The Vice-Chancellor approved the reopening to allow students complete their course registration on time.
According to the notice, the portal will remain open for two weeks, from Monday, January 12 to Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Students who miss this window will still be able to register, but late registration penalties will apply from Monday, January 26 to Thursday, February 12, 2026. After that, the university will close the portal completely for first semester registration on Friday, February 13, 2026.
The university explained that this decision supports proper academic planning ahead of the first semester examinations, which will begin on Monday, March 2, 2026.
Management urged all affected students to take advantage of this opportunity and complete their registration promptly. Timely course registration remains a core academic requirement.
Students who notice missing or incorrect courses on their dashboard should contact their Head of Department (HOD) immediately for assistance.
All students are advised to note the dates carefully and make the necessary arrangements to avoid penalties.
