The Yusuf Maitama Sule University (YMSU), formerly Northwest University (NWU), Kano, has officially announced the sale of its Post UTME and Direct Entry (DE) forms for the 2025/2026 academic session. Registration begins Monday, 15th September 2025 and closes Sunday, 28th September 2025.
Who Can Apply?
UTME Candidates
- Must have chosen YMSU as their first choice institution.
- Must score between 150 – 230, depending on the chosen course.
- Must possess at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
- Awaiting result candidates can also apply but must select “AR” during registration.
- Must present their 2025 UTME result.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Must apply through JAMB as DE candidates.
- Must have five (5) credit passes including English and Mathematics.
- Holders of ND, NCE, or IJMB must meet the following requirements:
- ND candidates: minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Science) or 3.5 (Arts).
- NCE candidates: minimum of 9 points for relevant education programmes.
- IJMB candidates: minimum of 7 points (Science) or 8 points (Arts).

- Click on the 2025 Admission Portal.
- Select Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening.
- Generate a Remita payment invoice for N2,000.
- Pay at any bank nationwide or online.
- Return to the portal, complete the registration form, and upload your details.
- Print your Acknowledgement Slip for the screening exercise.

- Candidates must come with acknowledgment slips and credentials to the venue.
- Only candidates who register are eligible for the Post UTME/DE screening.
