Students Demand SIWES Allowances Unpaid Since 2018.

Nigerian union students demanded Siwes allowances that has been unpaid since 2018. National Association of Nigerian NANS Higher education institutions have received a strong warning from the higher institution, which has vowed to oppose any more tuition increases.

The National Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education Students (NANCES), the National Association of University Students (NAUS), and the leadership of NANS all voiced their serious concerns at a joint press briefing on Friday regarding the non-payment of SIWES allowances since 2018.

Oladoja continued by highlighting a number of changes implemented under the current ITF leadership:

.Backlog Payments in Progress: In order to avoid further delays, efforts are being made to settle past-due SIWES allowances.

.Logbook Fees Eliminated: Since logbooks have been replaced, students are no longer obliged to buy t.hem.

.E-Logbook introduction: To improve openness, accessibility, and monitoring, a digital system has been introduced.
