Attention FUOYE Students: DETIE Reschedules Vocational Practical Sessions

The Directorate of Educational Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DETIE) at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has issued an important update regarding the Vocational Skills Development Practical Sessions.

In a memorandum released yesterday, March 16, 2026, the Director of DETIE, Engr. Olarewaju P. Ogunjobi, announced that these essential practical sessions for all 100-level and 200-level students have been rescheduled. These sessions are a cornerstone of FUOYE’s commitment to turning graduates into job creators through hands-on innovation and vocational training.

The New Schedule
To ensure you are in the right place at the right time, please take note of the updated dates and venues:

Dates: Friday, 27th March and Saturday, 28th March 2026

Venues:

Oye Campus: Entrepreneurship Centre, Oye.

Ikole Campus: Entrepreneurship Centre, Ikole.

Time: * Friday: 8:30 AM

Saturday: 10:30 AM

Why Attendance is Mandatory
These practical sessions aren't just for experience—they are a critical part of your academic grade. The Directorate emphasized that this component carries 40% of the total assessment score for the following courses:

ENT 101 – Introduction to Entrepreneurship (100 Level)

ENT 211 – Entrepreneurship and Innovation (200 Level)

Please Note: Attendance will be strictly recorded. Because these sessions are mandatory, any student who fails to participate risks academic sanctions in line with university regulations.

Instructions for Students and Departments
The university management has ensured that this directive (Ref: FUOYE/DETIE/DIR/DNS/003) is distributed across all faculties, from the College of Medicine to the various Deans and Heads of Departments.

What you should do now:

Spread the Word: Ensure your coursemates are aware of these new dates.

Prepare Early: Organize your materials and ensure you are at your respective Entrepreneurship Centre ahead of the start time.

Check with your HOD: If you have any conflicting departmental assignments, clarify them now to ensure you don't miss this 40% assessment block.
