The Electoral Board (ELECO) of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has announced an important update regarding the upcoming Students’ Union Government (SUG) elections.

Originally scheduled for Friday, April 10th, the election date has now been shifted to Saturday, April 11th, 2026. According to the board, this adjustment was necessary to avoid clashes with official Akwa Ibom State Government functions and ensure a seamless voting process for all students.

Thursday, April 9th: Official publication of cleared candidates followed by a mandatory strategy meeting with the Electoral Board.

Friday, April 10th: * Morning: A technical seminar on the E-voting system to ensure transparency.

Afternoon: The "Battle of Ideas"—Manifesto presentations by Presidential candidates.

Saturday, April 11th (The Big Day): Election Day! Voting will be open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
