Over 29,000 Students Take Federal Technical College Exams.

In all, 29,260 Junior Secondary School (JSS 3) students from all around Nigeria took the National Business and Technical Examinations Board’s (NABTEB) 2025 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) entrance test.

Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, NABTEB Registrar/CEO at the Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC), Uromi, one of two centers in Edo State, commended the Federal Government and the Federal Ministry of Education for bolstering the TVET program, which he claimed has increased the appeal of technical colleges. He was accompanied by Pius Osaigbovo, Director of Research and Quality Assurance.

The board oversaw the successful administration of the national test, which was intended to provide admission to Federal Technical Colleges, at specified centers. He affirmed that the test was only open to those who enrolled online before the June 12, 2025, deadline.

We had 29,260 applicants this year, up from 7,547 the previous year. “Thanks to the incentives the Ministry of Education introduced, that’s a huge leap,” he said.
