Soliat Olabiran, a gifted Nigerian student, received a first-class accounting degree from Obafemi Awolowo University with an impressive cumulative grade point average CGPA of 4.57.
When Soliat looked back on her academic career, she revealed that she had a terrific start, achieving a perfect 5.00 GPA in her first semester, which gave her a lot of confidence. But it was harder and harder to keep up that level of performance over time. She discovered, shockingly, that she had misjudged her CGPA by her third year and was no longer on pace to get a first-class degree.
Instead, she made her decision to exert more effort. Soliat recovered with another flawless 5.00 GPA in the second semester of her third year, which gave her newfound drive. She worked relentlessly, stayed focused on the end objective, and maintained a strict academic discipline after that.
Although Soliat acknowledged that balancing her studies with her business endeavours may be difficult at times, she never lost sight of her objectives. In retrospect, she claims that every difficulty, restless night, and moment of uncertainty were worthwhile.
Soliat attributes her achievement to her fortitude, self-control, and the encouragement of her friends, family, and mentors. Soliat exhorts people to maintain their optimism in the face of adversity and to never allow transient difficulties to determine their path.
