President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approves three tertiary institutions in Abia, Imo.The institutions seek to meet the educational requirements of the South East area by offering high-quality instruction and research opportunities.
Full-time courses, teaching, instruction, and training in technology, applied sciences, commerce, the arts, social sciences, humanities, and management will be provided by the Federal College of Education, Bende.

In addition, among other things, it will carry out research on the creation and modification of methods and arrange for the nomination of a provost and other officials to supervise student administration and discipline.
Likewise, via undergraduate and graduate programs in a range of health-related subjects, the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Item, Bende, Abia State, will provide top-notch medical education and training. In order to increase knowledge and enhance health outcomes, it will also carry out research in the fields of medical sciences, health policy, and healthcare delivery.
To address the public’s demand for education, the planned Federal University in Okigwe, Imo State, would also provide top-notch instruction and research possibilities.
In response to the situation, Hon. Kalu thanked the Senate, his fellow members of the House of Representatives, and Nigerians for their resounding support, and he thanked President Tinubu for signing the measures into law.
Hon. Kalu promised further benefits of democracy and encouraged the South East’s citizens to stick with the Tinubu-led administration.
