Damilare Adebakin, the University of Lagos’ joint best-graduating student, accomplished an uncommon academic achievement: a perfect 5.0 CGPA. He talks candidly about his upbringing, the philosophy that guided his path, and how he overcame the difficulties that came with becoming the best in this exclusive interview.
Early Life & Family I’m the middle child in a family of five, and I grew up in Abeokuta, Ogun State. I attended Abeokuta Grammar School after starting my studies at Saint Birgitta Nursery and Primary School.
Studying Practices That Were Effective
Damilare created and improved methods to attain academic success with individualized, targeted study schedules. After seeing negative health effects from prolonged sitting, library hours were modified. Rest, exercise, and regular pauses. Changing study techniques every semester in light of introspection.
“You are capable, you are valuable, and you are worthy of success and kindness. Never forget that beauty often grows out of hardship.
