Jillian Abigail Sutrisno from Surabaya, Indonesia. As a first-year student at Nagoya University, pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology via their G30 (Global 30) Program, which is taught entirely in English and funded by the Japanese government’s MEXT Scholarship.
Beyond her studies, she always appreciated Japan’s natural beauty, architecture, and culture. After six months of living here, she can state with confidence that the standard of living and level of service have made that place an amazing place to live.

Being awarded the MEXT Scholarship
She was fortunate to be offered two MEXT scholarships:

Hokkaido University’s Chemistry ISP Program
The fully financed MEXT Scholarship pays for all university fees and tuition.
Round-trip airfare
A stipend of ¥120,000 (around 800 USD) every month.
