Welcome to today’s BECE English Language tutorial. We’ve carefully selected 40 top questions you're likely to encounter in your exam. These questions are divided into:

Section A: Grammar and Structure

Question 1: She has been absent ____ Monday.

Correct Answer: Since
Explanation: Use "since" when referring to a specific point in time.

E.g., She has been working since she was three years old.


Question 2: I don't know where she ____ gone.

Options:

Correct Answer: Has

A passage is usually given in your exam followed by questions. Tips:

  • Read the passage twice before answering.
  • Underline keywords in the passage.
  • Watch for inference questions — not everything is directly stated!

Example:

The boy ran as fast as he could because he was afraid.
Q: Why did the boy run?
A: Because he was afraid.
