UNIBEN Announces Training on Online Course Registration

Published on Feb 10, 2026 • Education

The University of Benin (UNIBEN), through its Senate Matters Division, has announced a training programme on online course registration for students.

According to a memo from the Registrar dated 9 February 2026, the training will take place on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, at the Senate Chambers. The programme aims to improve efficiency and ensure a smoother course registration process across the University.

Training Schedule and Sessions

To accommodate all participants, UNIBEN has arranged the training in two sessions:

First Session: 10:00 a.m.
This session is for staff from the Faculties of Engineering, Education, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, and Management Sciences.

Second Session: 1:00 p.m.
This session is for all other faculties.

By splitting the training this way, the University hopes to promote focused learning and better engagement.

Information Flow and Participation

Furthermore, the University has instructed Deans to share the schedule with their Heads of Departments. In turn, Heads of Departments will inform Course Advisers and Examination Officers to ensure full participation.

This step-by-step communication structure will help the information reach all relevant officers on time.

Official Endorsement

Mrs. C. I. Ehigiator (JP), Deputy Registrar, Senate Matters Division, signed the memo on behalf of the Registrar.

Final Note

In conclusion, UNIBEN encourages all concerned staff to attend the training promptly. Active participation will strengthen the online registration process and reduce avoidable challenges during course registration periods.
