The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has confirmed that the Harmattan Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session will begin on Monday, 23 February 2026.The university released this information in a circular from the Directorate of Academic Affairs. Mrs. Atinuke A. Oguntunde, Registrar and Secretary to Senate, signed the notice.
Financial Clearance Is Mandatory
The university has made one key requirement very clear. Every student must:
Pay at least 50% of tuition fees, and
Complete all required registration processes
before the examinations begin.
Consequently, the university will allow only students who meet these conditions to sit for the exams.
Students who have not completed payment or registration must act immediately. Otherwise, they risk being denied entry into the examination halls.
Verification Process at Examination Venues
In addition, the university will use tutorial lists to verify eligible students at each exam venue. This step ensures that only properly registered and financially cleared students write their papers.
Therefore, students should double-check their status well before the exam date to avoid last-minute issues.
Official Circulation
The university has shared the circular widely. It has reached students, the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, all staff members, and appears on official notice boards across campus.
Final Advice to Students
With examinations starting on 23 February 2026, students should settle all outstanding payments and complete registration without delay. Early action will prevent unnecessary stress and ensure a smooth examination experience.
UNIOSUN encourages all students to prepare academically and administratively so they can participate fully in the upcoming Harmattan Semester Examinations.
