21,971 Sit for UNILORIN Post-UTME 2025/26

The University of Ilorin has started its 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening, running from August 28 to September 4, 2025. A total of 21,971 candidates are taking part.
According to Prof. Kamilu Rauf, Director of the CBT Centre, there are 20,220 UTME applicants and 1,751 DE candidates. This is higher than last year’s 15,946 UTME and 1,175 DE, showing UNILORIN’s growing appeal.
“At UNILORIN, four years means four, five years means five—without strike disruptions,” said Prof. Rauf.

The CBT Director linked the rise in applications to the university’s:

- Efficient administration
- Uninterrupted academic calendar
Exam Guidelines for Candidates
- The final day (Sept. 4) is for absentees and Arabic Studies candidates.
- Candidates must adhere to the dress code, punctuality rules, and cell phone restrictions.

Screening Conduct
Prof. Abdulazeez Muhammad Lawal, Chairman of the Admissions Committee, commended the candidates’ orderly conduct. He highlighted the use of biometric verification and urged parents not to crowd exam venues, allowing students to remain focused.
Admission Requirements
According to Mr. Abdulkareem Sanni, University Admission Officer:
- Minimum UTME score of 180
- Five O-level credits (in two sittings for most courses; single sitting for Medicine, Optometry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Computer Engineering)
- Success in the Post-UTME screening
He also emphasized timeliness, discipline, and proper dressing throughout the exams.
