The Newgate College of Health Technology Minna has commenced the sale of admission forms for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Prospective students interested in building a career in health and medical sciences are invited to apply. The College offers accredited programmes designed to combine classroom learning with practical training for professional excellence in the healthcare sector.

Available Programmes and Requirements
Public Health Nursing

Nigerian Registered Nurse (NRN)

National Diploma or equivalent in Nursing

O’level credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Environmental Health Technician

Minimum of five O’level passes (WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO) in not more than two sittings

At least three credits including English Language and Biology/Health Science

Other acceptable subjects: Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing

Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)

Five O’level credits (not more than two sittings) including:

English Language

Mathematics

Physics

Chemistry

Biology/Health Science

JCHEW certificate is an added advantage

Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW)

Three credits and two passes at O’level (not more than two sittings)

Must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science and two other subjects

Professional Diploma in Health Information Management

Five O’level credits including:

English Language

Mathematics

Biology/Health Science

Physics or Chemistry

One other subject

HND Health Information Management

ND in Health Information Management (minimum Lower Credit)

Health Record Technician Certificate (minimum Lower Credit)

Five O’level credits (English, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry, Physics)

One-year industrial attachment required

Candidates with ND and JAMB score of 150 are exempt from writing JAMB

Applicants without ND must have JAMB score of 160+

Pharmacy Technician

Five O’level credits (English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

Medical Laboratory Technician

Four credits in English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry

At least a pass in Physics

Results older than 10 years are not accepted

Medical Laboratory Assistant certificate holders may apply
