FUTO 2026/2027 Undergraduate Post-UTME Screening Exercise

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has officially announced the commencement of the Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.

If you chose FUTO as your first choice or are planning to change your institution to FUTO, please review the requirements and registration steps below carefully.

 Eligibility Requirements

• JAMB Choice: Candidates must have chosen FUTO as their First Choice. (Candidates who did not choose FUTO but meet the score requirements can still apply by visiting the JAMB CAPS portal to change their first-choice institution to FUTO on or before July 31, 2026).

• Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.

• UTME Score: A minimum score of 150 is required for most programmes.

• O'Level Results:

  • Minimum of 5 credit passes (including English and Mathematics) at not more than two sittings.

  • MBBS Candidates: Must have 5 credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at one sitting.

• Direct Entry: Must hold A’Level in relevant subjects, OND, HND, or a First Degree in relevant disciplines.

 Application Fee

The application fee is ₦2,000.00.

 Registration Procedure

1. Visit the official FUTO portal: https://portal.futo.edu.ng and select the "Undergraduate" tab.

2. Click on "Generate Invoice" and enter your JAMB Registration Number to obtain your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).

3. Pay the fee online using your ATM card or proceed to any bank branch with the invoice.

4. Return to the application portal and click on "Application Form".

5. Log in with your JAMB Registration Number, complete the form with accurate details, and submit.

6. Print your Acknowledgement Slip.

 Important Reminders

• Consistency: Ensure your details on the FUTO application portal match exactly what is uploaded on your JAMB CAPS (e.g., Name, Date of Birth, State of Origin, JAMB Reg Number).

• Direct Entry: If you are a Direct Entry candidate, ensure your certificate is verified by the awarding institution on JAMB CAPS and that your academic transcript reaches the Registrar, FUTO, by August 17, 2026.

• Subject Combination: Always verify that your UTME subject combination aligns with the JAMB brochure for your chosen course.
