WAEC 2026 May/June SSCE Timetable: Full Schedule and Key Dates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the final timetable for the 2026 May/June Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school candidates. The examination cycle begins today, Tuesday, April 21st, and is scheduled to conclude on Friday, June 19th, 2026.
This two-month examination window covers a wide range of subjects, starting with practical sessions and moving into core written papers by mid-May.

Public Holidays: There will be no examinations on Friday, May 1st (Workers' Day) and Friday, June 12th (Democracy Day).

Practical & Oral Exams: Most practical sessions (Foods & Nutrition, Home Management, and Arabic/French Orals) are scheduled between April 21st and May 8th.

Arrival Time: Candidates are strictly advised to be at their examination centres at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for each paper.
