UK GMC has officially approved the Nile University of Nigeria MBBS degree as one of the acceptable foreign degrees for medical licensure in the UK, marking a significant milestone that reflects the university’s increasing international recognition and dedication to academic excellence.
With this significant approval, graduates of the College of Health Sciences at Nile University can now apply for the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board PLAB test administered by the GMC and for subsequent registration to practice medicine in the UK without having to undergo separate qualification evaluations.
The primary medical regulating agency in the UK is the General Medical Council GMC. Establishing professional standards for physicians, physician associates (PAs), anesthesia associates (AAs), and their instructors, to protect the level of patient care while promoting excellent medical practice nationwide.
