JAMB UTME registration ends ‪(28 Feb)‬

✅ Registration Period

The official registration window for the 2026 UTME opens on Monday, 26 January 2026 and closes on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

This is the key period when you must visit an accredited JAMB CBT centre to register and submit all your details — including your personal information, choice of exam town, preferred institutions and courses, and your biometric data.

🧠 Important: If you miss this deadline, you won’t be able to sit for the UTME this year, and you’ll have to wait until the next cycle.

💳 E-PIN Sales

E-PIN vending begins: 19 January 2026

E-PIN vending ends: 26 February 2026

Before you can register at a CBT centre, you must purchase an e-PIN — this is the electronic voucher that gives you access to the UTME registration portal and must be bought before or by 26 February because you can’t register without it.

📆 Why the Dates Matter

E-PIN must be bought by 26 Feb — if you miss this sale deadline, you cannot register even if the portal is still open.

The registration portal stays open until 28 Feb — this gives you a couple of extra days after e-PIN sales close to complete your registration at a CBT centre.

So, your ideal timeline should be:

Get your National Identification Number (NIN) linked to your phone and ready before registration opens.

Buy your e-PIN as early as possible (before 26 Feb).

Visit a CBT centre to register before 28 Feb — this ensures your name goes into the JAMB system for exam scheduling.

🎓 Direct Entry (DE) Registration

Direct Entry is the alternative admission route for candidates who already hold advanced qualifications such as:

ND/HND

NCE

IJMB or A-Level

Other acceptable certificates (for 200-level entry)

🗓️ DE Registration Dates

Starts: Monday, 2 March 2026

Ends: Saturday, 25 April 2026

Unlike UTME, Direct Entry registration is usually completed only at JAMB State or Zonal Office centres (not CBT centres). This process lets you submit your credentials and be considered for admission directly into 200-level or equivalent, bypassing the regular UTME route.
