UNIUYO Amnesty Programme 2025

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has introduced an Amnesty Programme for former students who could not graduate due to failed courses. The Senate approved this decision at its 133rd meeting held on April 30, 2025.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this programme, candidates must meet these conditions:

• You must have been admitted into UNIUYO from 1995 onwards.
• You must still desire to complete your degree and obtain your certificate.
• You cannot apply if you were expelled for misconduct.
• The programme covers First Degree students only.
• You must have failed courses not exceeding 24 credit hours.
• You can register up to 24 credit hours across both semesters.
• You must pay ₦25,000 per course.

Programme Schedule

The Amnesty Programme will run during the long vacation before the 2025/2026 academic year. It will last eight weeks and follow this timetable:

• Sept. 1 – Sept. 7, 2025: Publicity and awareness.
• Sept. 8 – Oct. 4, 2025: Intensive teaching and revision.
• Oct. 6 – Oct. 18, 2025: Examinations.
• Oct. 20 – Oct. 24, 2025: Marking, result computation, and graduation.

Therefore, students who register must be prepared to follow the schedule strictly.

How to Pay

Interested candidates should:

1. Visit www.uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals.
2. Pay all charges through the online portal.
3. Present the printed receipt to the Bursary Department for confirmation.

Key Reminders

• This is a one-time opportunity to complete your degree.
• Anyone with more than 24 credit hours outstanding cannot apply.
• Expelled students remain ineligible.
• Grades earned in this programme will combine with previous records to determine final graduation status.
