EBSU Urgent Notice: Final Window for 2025/2026 First Semester Course Registration
Published on Apr 24, 2026 • Education
The Management of Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has issued a critical directive via the Office of the Registrar (Ref: EBSU/R/34/Vol.I/193). It has come to the university's attention that a significant number of students—both fresh and returning—sat for the 2025/2026 First Semester examinations without completing their mandatory online course registration.
To rectify this, a final registration window has been opened. Failure to act now will result in the total loss of your examination results.
📅 The Registration Timeline
The portal is currently open. Mark these dates in your calendar to avoid being locked out:
| Event | Date | Time |
| Opening Date | Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026 | 8:00 AM |
| Closing Date | Friday, 15th May, 2026 | 11:59 PM |
Warning: The portal will shut down automatically at midnight on May 15th. The university has explicitly stated that no back-end registration will be permitted after this deadline.
⚠️ Strict Consequences of Non-Compliance
The university’s regulations regarding registration are "extant" and will be strictly enforced. If you do not register within this window:
-
Results Nullified: Any examinations you wrote during the first semester will be declared NULL AND VOID.
-
Unauthorized Withdrawal: You will be officially recorded as having taken an "Unauthorized Withdrawal" for the semester, creating a gap in your academic record.
-
Mandatory Carry-Over: You will be forced to register and re-sit these courses during the 2026/2027 First Semester, effectively setting your graduation back by a full year.
