The management of Edo University, Iyamho (formerly Edo State University, Uzairue) has officially announced the commencement of registration for the 2026/2027 academic session Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise.
Prospective students are invited to apply for various undergraduate programmes, provided they meet the university’s Admission criteria.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the screening, candidates must meet the following conditions:

UTME Score: Candidates must have sat for the 2026 UTME and obtained a minimum score of 150 (or the specific programme cut-off mark).

First Choice: You must have chosen Edo University, Iyamho as your first-choice institution on the JAMB portal.

Note: Candidates who did not select the university as their first choice are eligible to apply, provided they perform a 'Change of Institution' to Edo University, Iyamho on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before applying.

Academic Credentials: Candidates must possess five (5) relevant O’level credits as specified in the JAMB brochure at not more than two sittings.

Age: Applicants must be at least 16 years old on or before September 30, 2026.

Direct Entry: DE applicants must have registered through JAMB and meet the university's departmental entry requirements.
Registration Procedure

Visit the Portal: Go to the official admission portal at edouniversity.edu.ng/admissions/register.

Select Category: Choose your preferred application category (e.g., Undergraduate, Transfer).

Application Payment: Pay the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 (for UTME/DE) or ₦60,000 (for Transfer candidates) strictly via the Remita platform on the university website.

Warning: Do not pay into private accounts or through third-party individuals.

Form Completion: Provide your JAMB Registration Number, use a personal/active email address, and upload all required documents.

Monitor Status: You can log in at any time using the "Already Applied?" option to track your application progress.
Screening Format

Physical Screening: Applicants for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing, and Law must attend an on-campus screening test. Dates and times will be communicated to eligible candidates.

Online Screening: All other programmes will be screened online based on their verified JAMB scores and O'Level results.
Crucial Notice: All O'Level results must be uploaded to the JAMB CAPS portal by August 31, 2026. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the admission process. Any offer of admission must also be accepted on JAMB CAPS within two weeks, or it will be automatically withdrawn.
