This scholarship is awarded based on academic merit to candidates who have applied for or are currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.
What’s Covered:

Full Tuition Fee Offset: Up to two years for a Master’s by Research or up to four years for a Doctoral degree.

Living Allowance: A stipend of $39,500 per year (2026 full-time rate). This is provided for up to two years for a Master’s by Research or up to 3.5 years for a Doctoral degree.

Relocation Grant: $2,000 for students moving from other Australian States/Territories, or $3,000 for students moving from outside Australia.

Health Insurance: Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership for international students requiring a student visa.
