Admission Requirements

1. General Entry (UTME)

O'Level: Minimum of five (5) credits in GCE/WAEC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, at no more than two sittings.
Recent News
Law Applicants: Must have a credit pass in Literature-in-English.
Awaiting Results: Candidates awaiting results are eligible to apply, provided the results are available by September 2026.

JAMB: Must sit for the 2026 UTME and obtain the prescribed cut-off mark.

2. Direct Entry (200 Level)

Direct Entry is available for all programmes EXCEPT Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Law.

Requirements: Two A-Level passes, a Diploma/NCE (Credit level or higher), IJMB, or a first degree in a relevant discipline.
JAMB: Candidates must show evidence of application to JAMB for Direct Entry.

Important Policies to Note

Age Limit: Candidates must generally be 22 years of age or younger. Older candidates are only considered under exceptional circumstances.
Accommodation: IUO is a fully residential university. All students are provided with accommodation at the Okada Wonderland Estate.
Transfer Students: Must provide an official academic transcript and a JAMB transfer form signed by their current university.
