JAMB 2026 Direct Entry (DE) Registration: Final Call & Complete Guide

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially opened the registration portal for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) exercise. With the deadline fast approaching, all prospective candidates must act now to secure their registration before the window closes.
Unlike the standard UTME, Direct Entry registration has specific protocols and locations that candidates must follow strictly to avoid disqualification.
Key Registration Facts

Registration Deadline: Saturday, April 25th, 2026.

Total Cost: ₦5,700.

Registration Centres: DE registration can ONLY be done at JAMB State and Zonal offices nationwide. (Accredited CBT centres are for UTME, not DE).
Academic Requirements for DE
To be eligible, you must have a minimum of five (5) O'level credit passes (at no more than two sittings) and at least one of the following:

A-Level Certificate (IJMB, JUPEB, NABTEB, Cambridge).

National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND).

NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education).

University Diploma or First Degree.
Crucial Note: Awarding institutions must forward verification of your results to JAMB before your registration is considered complete. You are advised to pre-verify your qualifications on the JAMB e-facility platform.
Step-by-Step Registration Process
1. Profile Creation
Send your National Identification Number (NIN) via SMS to 55019 or 66019.

Format: Write "NIN" [space] followed by your 11-digit NIN (e.g.,
NIN 00123456789). -
You will receive a 10-character Profile Code. Keep this safe!
2. Procurement of e-PIN
Take your Profile Code to any participating bank, NIPOST, or MFB. Pay the ₦5,700 fee to receive your unique e-PIN via SMS.
3. Physical Registration
Visit a JAMB State or Zonal Office with your Profile Code and e-PIN. You will undergo:

Biometric Capture: All ten fingers and a live photograph will be taken.

Data Entry: You must provide your previous matriculation number, subject of qualification, and awarding institution.
Critical Rules to Remember

Disclosure of Previous Admission: You must disclose if you have been previously admitted or matriculated in any institution. Failure to do so will invalidate your current registration.

No Proxies: Parents, teachers, or friends are not allowed to register on your behalf. Group registrations are strictly prohibited.

Verification Status: Constantly check your e-facility profile for the "CLEARED" or "NOT CLEARED" status regarding your A-level results.

One SIM, One Candidate: Your phone number is your unique ID. Do not use a number previously used by someone else for JAMB.
