Nigerian Maritime University (NMU) Post-UTME/DE 2026: Cut-off mark, Eligibility and Registration Details

The management of the Nigerian Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko, Delta State, has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who chose NMU as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored the minimum required mark for Admission consideration.

NMU Cut-Off Mark for 2026/2027 Admission

Candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME are eligible to apply for the NMU Post-UTME screening exercise.

The university has stated that only candidates who meet the minimum cut-off mark and satisfy other admission requirements will be considered for admission into its various undergraduate programmes.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must:

  • Choose Nigerian Maritime University (NMU) as their First Choice Institution.

  • Obtain a minimum score of 150 in the 2026 UTME.

  • Possess at least five (5) O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant subjects.

  • Have the appropriate UTME subject combination for their chosen course.

  • Upload their O'Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal.

  • Ensure all information supplied during registration is accurate and verifiable.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

Direct Entry candidates are also invited to apply provided they possess relevant qualifications such as:

  • ND (National Diploma)

  • NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education)

  • HND (Higher National Diploma)

  • IJMB

  • JUPEB

  • A-Level Certificates

  • Other qualifications recognized by JAMB.

Candidates are advised to ensure that their A'Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS before the admission process is concluded.

Screening Registration Period

According to the university, online registration for the 2026/2027 admission screening exercise has commenced and eligible candidates are advised to complete their applications before the deadline announced on the admission portal.

Screening Fee

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of:

₦2,000 only

Payment should be made through the approved university screening portal.

Screening Method

The screening exercise will be conducted online.

Candidates will be assessed based on their UTME scores, O'Level results, and other admission requirements approved by the university. No physical Post-UTME examination has been announced.

  2. Log in using their JAMB Registration Number.

  3. Complete the online screening application form.

  4. Upload all required credentials and documents.

  5. Pay the prescribed screening fee.

  6. Submit the application.

  7. Print the screening acknowledgement slip for future reference.

Important Notice

Candidates who did not initially choose NMU as their first-choice institution may still apply after processing a Change of Institution through JAMB and selecting Nigerian Maritime University as their preferred institution.

Applicants are also advised to upload their O'Level results to JAMB CAPS promptly, as admission processing depends on the availability of these results on the platform.
