Due to exam cheating, the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja Academic Board has withdrawn 273 students and dismissed six more. The board made these choices after reviewing and approving the first semester results for the academic year 2024–2025.

In a statement released on Monday, Uredo Omale, the Polytechnic's Director of Public Relations and Protocol, said that this was one of the many decisions made during the board's 120th meeting, which took place on Thursday, April 17, at the Polytechnic Main Campus in Lokoja.
"The Academic Board Result Verification Committee members, under the direction of the Deputy Rector, Dr Samuel Taiwo Olowo, were commended by the Board Chairman, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, for their diligent review of the results and were tasked with maintaining the pace," Omale said.
