An important step in changing the country's educational system has been taken with the Federal Government's successful administration of Nigeria's first National Common Entrance Examination for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Class 1.

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board's (NABTEB) Registrar and Chief Executive, Dr. Aminu Mohammed, also saw the test and called it an important step in redefining technical education. Approximately 30,000 JSS3 pupils participated nationwide, he revealed.

In order to improve accessibility and efficiency, the Ministry of Education, led by Minister Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, intends to switch the common admission test to a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.

To create a generation of competent, independent Nigerians, the ministry called on parents, educators, businesses, and development partners to embrace this program.
