UDUS 50th Convocation: 119 Bag First-Class!

The Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) is set to light up its 50th Convocation Ceremony with a big announcement — 119 students graduated with First-Class honours in the 2023/2024 session.

At a press briefing on Monday, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bashir Garba, revealed that UDUS will graduate 4,024 students this year. The breakdown shows:

• 3,561 first degree graduates.
• 323 Master’s degree holders.
• 120 fresh PhDs.
• 20 Postgraduate Diploma recipients.

Prof. Garba congratulated the outstanding students, stressing that the feat reflects the university’s commitment to academic excellence and character building.

“We are proud of our graduates. They are the future leaders Nigeria needs,” he said.

The golden convocation will not only celebrate academic success but also spotlight UDUS as a powerhouse of brilliance and resilience.d character.
